that's the same permission that makes possible terminal emulators like Konsole on Flatpak
yeah but it does have pkexec though, is this thingy in case you didn't know  So it can actually get root privileges, pretty dangerous if you run it outside...

Hi I've used Hyprland before, this is not a problem with flatpaks, you might be missing `xdg-desktop-portal-gtk`
And also, there's no reason why a Flatpak would be slower. I might add the app to the AUR but no promises
