text to speech is kind of broken

Open olumolu opened this issue 8 months ago • 5 comments

if you use text to speech first it take a lot to initiate the speech and there is no option to stop the speech until you close the app or texts finished. even when you delete the chat it self the text to speech still providing output. this need to be fixed..

ok thanks i could not stop that so i had to close the app.I will test this but at first this is not very intuitive by design.

I mean I don't know how much intuitive it can be, it's a toggle button, it toggles

if you add a stop button when it is playing it will be better that button will appear when you are using t2s

FWIW, it hadn't occurred to me at all, either, to press the button again, and it wasn't obvious to me that it was a toggle button (other ones in the ... menu aren't, and the menu itself goes away after pressing it, so you don't even get to see it stays selected).
