[Feature Request] Content Migrator - Content Push
My understanding is this can work via Powershell, would this be able to be added to the UI - instead of "Pull From" you can select "Push To"?
My use case is for content items that I don't want to include in Unicorn such as one-off new items / new media items / one-off updates to existing items. I know that Unicorn has the NewItemsOnly feature but this would be far easier with my DevOps workflow.
one of the prime directives of the content migrator is security. Since content migration happens between servers, having a push to functionality would allow anyone with access to an environment to push to any other environments. Eliminating that option ensures that content is migrated only when the server requests it from an authenticated request.
You should be able to accomplish your request by triggering a pull on the desired environment using powershell.
I understand the security implications and the 'with great power comes great responsibility' implications, but I still think it would be a useful feature. Lots of disclaimers and warnings could be added, and disable by default, and perhaps you have to specify an additional shared key. These kinds of tools are for power users and I just think that if it's already possible via script then why not add it to the UI?
