The source of H36M 3D joint ground truth for evaluation
Hi, Jiefeng.
Can you tell me the acquisition process of Human3.6M 3D joint ground truth for evaluation? Is it obtained from regressed SMPL joints or the original MoCap 3D pose annotations?
If MoCap 3D pose were adopted as ground truth by convention, the theoretical minimum error would never be zero as the SMPL fitting process is not perfect.
So if HybrIK uses regressed SMPL joints as ground truth, I wonder whether it is fair to do so (the theoretical minimum error = 0), just as mentioned in #42. It is believed to lead to a boost in metrics.
请问 Human3.6M 评测所需要的 3D joint ground truth 是来源于哪?是原始 MoCap 3D joints 数据还是 SMPL model 回归的结果?
