Bug: Spaceman disappears from the UI, can't return to Preferences

macOS Monterey 12.7.6 (21H1320) @ MacBook Pro 2015. External monitor, Displays have separate Spaces (=1 in Mission Control settings).

UPDATE: When I select the Style = Named spaces, the indicators disappear. The characters in the name field don't matter. I can't see Spaceman running anywhere in the UI: not in the menu bar, not in Dock, not in Cmd+Tab menu, only in the Activity Monitor.

I tried to remove all the app's folders using AppCleaner, but surprisingly it didn't reset to default.

Now I'm going to delete the settings through the terminal, will see how it ends up.

Not important any more: After the first run, I used two emoji symbols in the name of only one space, closed the Preferences. I didn't see my space renamed, and I can't open the Preferences any more.

UPDATE: The indicators came back to the menu bar after these steps:

  1. Quit Spaceman
  2. Run defaults delete dev.jaysce.Spaceman in terminal
  3. Run Spaceman

Thanks for the hint, @okyr-ux, very helpful. I have the same problem and cannot use named workspaces, though

I had the same problem with 9 spaces. After using the solution here I tried again with only 3 spaces and then it worked fine. I think there just isn't enough space in the menu bar for so many named spaces, so maybe at this point we just can't use named spaces with more than a few spaces (which is not a big deal to me). I'm also using Ice for my menu bar so I'm not sure if that would affect it (I'm new to MacOS and all of these kinds of apps).
