Can't import backup from regular Tachiyomi into TachiyomiJ2K - app deadlocks and crashes every time

Open T3sT3ro opened this issue 1 year ago • 3 comments

Steps to reproduce

  1. Generate backup in tachiyomi (check the "include sensitive info" checkbox)
  2. import into J2K

Expected behavior

Sources should be migrated

Actual behavior

App crashes. Briefly you can see null/automatic in the "automatic backup location" input right before the crash in the "Backup and restore" settings.

A notification is later shown (can't display full because it's cut off) with "Permission Denial: opening provide com.android.provid.."

Crash logs

I can't enter the app and I can't find the logs.

TachiyomiJ2K version

tachiyomij2k-v1.7.3.apk

Android version

12

Device

Huaweii P20 Pro

Other details

Tachiyomi version of the generated backup is 0.15.3

Its most likely because tachiJ2K is based on older version of Tachiyomi, while the new update on tachiyomi (last update) (0.15.3) has new features like third-party repository (from update ver 0.15.2) , that could be the reason, you can try by cancelling the selection on app settings ( at the time of backup ) and creating a backup.. I'm sorry English is not my first language

Deselect the App Settings option, it worked for me when doing that way, if it doesn't work try unchecking the source setting option too.
