I cannot connect my wireless/wired controller in any way/Closing Issues

When I installed it in the AppData folder, I was excited to try it out. But ANY TIME I OPEN DS4Windows, I am asked for an admin password. Because of this, I cannot connect a game controller to the program.

While I'm editing the controls, closing the window (while the picture of a controller is on the window), the picture flickers, then gives me a warning message for an error.

Is this a bug, or do I really need to get admin privileges to use my controller??
