No Side Panel showing after "Server Mode at Side Panel" command

I must be doing something wrong since no one else has reported this issue. I created a brand new HTML file with one line in the body, saved it (I have autosave turned on), did a Ctrl+P, typed Browser Sync, and chose the command Server Mode at side panel. I see a popup in the lower right indicating that a server was started and mapped to port 3000, but no side panel shows up for syncing.

What am I missing?
