What do you mean? In Ubuntu and Fedora at least toggling the dark variant has no effect until you restart the app.

Never played with gtk inspector, Fun!!! It's solves the issue for me in gtk inspector. I can put in a PR for that if you like?

@TingPing Ubuntu 16.04 I guess doesn't like it when you set the widow size on class construction...
