seems to me when nice_date is not localized we should just print a DD/MM/YYYY date, assuming some TTS can handle it. thats better than nothing

i dont think any skill depends on this, if anything some skill that ocasionally breaks because of this will magically fix itself either way mycroft-core can pin versions to 0.3.1...

in the end this package is still voice-first, it is supposed to parse natural language. A convention is just that, and with this currently being more or less undefined behavior...
