Step keyframes values can't be group edited

What are you trying to do, and what do you expect to happen?

Selecting mutiple keyframes, some of them with the interpolation mode "step" or as "pre/post", and writing a new value in a keyframe data field for all of them.

What happens instead?

The keyframes revert to their previous value (including regular, linear keyframes in the lot). The new value I write is only sometimes adopted when I click off.
