Pressing Backspace in an empty keyframe data field unfocuses it

What are you trying to do, and what do you expect to happen?

Fully erase what I typed in a keyframe data field, then type in it again.

What happens instead?

If I press Backspace one more time after erasing everything, the data field is unfocused.

It requires me to double click the field to focus it again, or click somewhere else, then once in the field.
