the version v2.4 (which should be compatible with v2.39 keepass2) isn't compatible on linux (xubuntu).

I don't have problems with KeePass 2.40, KeePassQuickUnlock 2.4 on Ubuntu 18.04

hm thats strange.. mine is 18.04 aswell.. it says: "The following pluging is incompatible with the current Keepass version:/usr/lib/keepass2/KeePassQuickUnlock.plgx

Have a look at the plugin's website for an appropriate version."

And my about Keepass says: " Keepass 2.39.1 KeePassLibC (1.x File Support) not installed "

does KeePassLibC has anything to do with it?! i just copied the plgx file into the directory. it worked fine on the windows machine..

KeePassLibC is fine. Could you please start KeePass with the "--debug" parameter? This should generate a log file with more informations why the plugin is not compatible.
