Layout not very mobile-friendly

Both side bars are very narrow to the point where words are not readable on mobile. I'm not sure what the best way to fix would be - maybe keeping one or both sidebars hidden with an option to expand?

I have been working on this recently. There's now a new mobile client available. It'll become the main client for desktop too once it reaches feature parity with the old one. See https://github.com/JaniM/variant-go-server/issues/75
