What a pain this has been looks like I will need to do a hacky version via tasker to get info into HA.

Have you seen the custom component for traccar? It jas more attributes than the official component. I have a number of different devices in traccar that I am loki g at exposing to ha, but battling a bit...

I'm using torque atm but haven't found the time to integrate it with tasker to push data into HA. I'll look into the custom component cheers for the tip.
