No license

What is the license for this code? Apache, MIT? There should be a license file or it could be in the readme.

It is in the readme. The code is proprietary, so no free software license unfortunately.

I saw the part about needing a commercial license but what is the license for 'research purposes'? I wouldn't want to touch this code unless it was clear under what scenarios this code is 'open source' for research.

You do not need any license if you use the code for research purposes, you only need a license from UCLA if you want to use the code in a comercial product.

This code in the file exchange is licensed in BSD, so I can use in a commercial product. Please, can you fix the license from file exchange because other people like me maybe might port to GPL or LGPL license.
