Being up to date on Lua 5.2, I also know it's not released yet :)

Since work3, there have been work4, work5 and two alpha releases.

Well I'm planning on trying 5.2 once it's properly released, I suspect that won't be very far away. I'll probably look into it then, and the link will be useful for most changes I suspect.

I wonder if the differences are so big that just using version() would be too messy, in which case I'd need to maintain a branch. I hope not.

This is now leaving luad quite hard to to use as 5.1 is quite old :(
