Canvas interceptor

I talked about this somewhere very early on, but I want a way for a centralized interceptor of the canvas on which you can apply logic.

For example, being able to apply filters like these without the underlying app knowing anything about them should be possible. I believe Ink also has a similar concept where they can rainbow-ify output, for example.
