HDCP errors

I have an old VGA screen connected to my computer, and whenever i want to use helium for netflix with the screen connected. Netflix prompts me with a HDCP error - but using chrome works fine.

Cheers

I have the same problem but with recent screens. Connected to an usb-c adaptor. Works with chrome though.

HDCP is High-Bandwith Digital Content Protection made by Intel for HDMI and DVI cables to lock down movies during transport in the cable (eg. from PS4 to your TV). Netflix may prevent displaying of titles if HDCP is not available. As Helium uses Safari as it's browser engine it may not work for what ever reason. Chrome uses Widewine CDM (Content Decryption Module) which may or may not bypass HDCP requirements.
