Incorporate the distinction between acronyms and initialisms

Open smiths opened this issue 1 year ago • 0 comments

Most of what we call acronyms in the generated Drasil documents are actually initialisms. (Acronyms are pronounced as words and initialisms are pronounced letter by letter). It isn't a big deal now, but if we ever delve deeply into generate sentences, we'll need to know the distinction, since the grammar rules are different depending on whether the term is an acronym or an initialism. For instance, the definite article (the) is treated differently for acronyms versus initialisms.
