Any maintained alternatives around?

I was looking for this feature for years and also asked on https://stackoverflow.com/questions/70125080/vscode-open-a-file-in-vscode-from-a-string but apparently there is no working and maintained plugin that does that, only several old ones that no longer work.

If anyone knows one, please let me know.
