Preserve fill and stroke color

Open Lythimus opened this issue 7 years ago • 3 comments

I was trying to use this to process some Ponoko files, which have colored strokes and fills to represent etched/cut line intensities and etched area intensities respectively. Unfortunately, SVGNest removes fill and stroke colors after processing.

I also had some issues with Deepnest.io, but both tools seem great; just not for my use case.

try it now, the output should maintain the colors/weights/fills. I've only tried it in illustrator but it should be fine on inkscape too.

Still having an issue with this, using Inkscape.

Initially I thought fill was not preserved after processing, but checking the source code of the result revealed that actually the fill information is preserved but the css forces the default color, so the specific fill color is not visible. I suggest to remove the css property fill: #8498d1 !important or at least the important part in order to allow the specific color to be visible in the output
