Allow choosing group when import from browser extension
Is your suggestion for improvement related to a problem? Please describe. The record is always imported to the current bib file/group.
Describe the solution you'd like Add an option to choose which file/group to import to.
Additional context Zotero can choose the group in the extension.
What version of JabRef is this?
Also, have you tried File > Import > Import into new library?
Edit: Closely related to #6177, but is NOT a duplicate.
What is different:
- be able to choose the group during Import
- Involves the browser extension
@ThiloteE Guess it's referring to the JabRef Browser extension https://docs.jabref.org/collect/jabref-browser-extension It opens the import inspection dialog
I'm using 5.6 but I thought 5.7 doesn't have this either. Looks like this is a duplicate.
Example
Step 1:
- Create a new
bibfile - Open the groups pane
- Add new group "test" (using context menu)
- Open web search (View menu)
- Select "DBLP"
- Search for "Using static analysis to find bugs"
- See the dialog https://github.com/JabRef/jabref/issues/9191#issuecomment-2863121837 popping up
Wish:
- The yellow area shows a dropdown with the currently selected group in the library seleted left of it
- The other contents of the drop down are the other groups - in alphabetic order (we can do this, because the group names are globally unique)
