I don't have a strong opinion either way, but I thought `nyc-config-typescript` would already cover this [by instrumenting through whatever tsconfig is set up to run]?

I think this issue belongs in the `babel-plugin-istanbul` repo so I'm going to move it there.

@niltsh what's the status of this, and Yosemite support? It would be nice if it didn't crash all the time on OS X 10.10.x
