Avocado crashes after connecting (cheap) USB Controller

Game: N/A Version: develop-d174949 Hardware: Intel Core i5-760, Windows 10 x64, 8 GB of RAM, cheap Esperanza EG102 USB controller

Behavior

Right after connecting the controller, Avocado crashes (all windows disappear). If controller was connected before running Avocado, it crashes 1-2 seconds after start.
