FYI, Promtail is now considered “feature complete” and will be in a maintenance mode. New users should use [Grafana Alloy](https://grafana.com/docs/alloy/latest/), Grafana Labs’ distribution of the OpenTelemetry Collector.
@Jayclifford345 I did not realize this was still outstanding. Thanks for the nudge. I'll get this merged and backported.
