+1 for this request! Disabling certain services like the database, when not needed, absolutely makes sense! :)

It would be wonderful if the Drupal Console maintainers would join Drush and put all the power into one tool. Better for DX and easier to learn... less dependencies etc......

Yep, I can also confirm this bug was caused and solved by the refreenced DO issues.
