Great idea. I think responsiveness is very important to provide a modern (multi)select solution. Perhaps it should be configurable which interface to use on which mobile devices?

I can confirm this problem. The events are not always reliable, I'm having a case where simetimes beforeload is not called at all and it directly starts with loadstart. Perhaps...
