(Witcher 3) Loading a rig onto a head model crashes

Game: The Witcher 3

Whenever a head model (any, including Geralt) is loaded and then man_base.w2rig is loaded after, the tool hangs for a second and crashes.

Head Model Name/Location: Witcher3Uncook/characters/models/geralt/head/model/h_00_mg__geralt.w2mesh

Rig Name/Location: Witcher3Uncook/characters/base_entities/man_base/man_base.w2rig

Having the same issue with opening Ciri's head model with it's skeleton and then applying the rig found within the same folder.
