  • CephFS kernel mount (to also attach VolSync, try it out first and if issues arise, change to vfs_ceph)
    • Set /proc/sys/vm/dirty_ratio to small value like 5, to prevent OOM when colocating Samba and OSDs
  • StatefulSet Samba, 3 replicas, local VCT for CTDB
  • CTDB SMB with Rados lock to prevent CephFS race condition deadlock (45Drives CephFS SMB tips video)
  • Shadow Copy (Windows Previous Versions) support for CephFS snapshots
