How to force SoftGPU to install 3Dfx files?
I use VMWare Workstation Pro 17.6.3. I updated your driver to v0.8.2025.51-preview. I wanted to set up games with Glide there, for which I mounted your driver image, but the "Copy 3Dfx files (vgl, splash)" checkbox is unavailable there. The maximum that I can install for Glide games is OpenGlide, but in practice, no game using Glide works with it. The same thing on VirtualBox 7.1.10.
What virtual machine is this option intended for? What to do?
This option is only present, when on install media is present 3Dfx Voodoo2 driver. I don't include it on public releases due to licence incompatibility. But additional include is simple download last reference driver (from example from here: https://www.philscomputerlab.com/drivers-for-voodoo-2.html) and extract it (for example with 7zip) to driver\voodoo2 folder on instalation media (inject in to iso, or just add to extracted zip release). But whole thing has only a minimal effect, currently only copy original splash screen (3dfxSpl2.dll and 3dfxSpl3.dll). You can achive same effect when you copy these 2 files from driver to WINDOWS\system folder.
