The checkbox for enabling 3D acceleration in VirtualBox has disappeared
I finally decided to update VirtualBox to version 7.1.6, since in fact a number of games written for Windows XP (for example, Sims 2 (it was updated by the developers a month ago) and Faces of War (В тылу врага 2) (by the way, I have the GOG version)) ran on Windows 10 without problems. But after the update, I noticed that the 3D acceleration checkbox disappeared from virtual machines with Windows 98 (while dxdiag itself indicates that 3D acceleration is enabled). The question arises: how is this possible?
The question arises: how is this possible?
you maybe select windows 98 when creating machine and looks like this gives different hardware for vm
...or if it's still works maybe they just removed checkbox bcz there is no any 3d in guest additions for w98
so try make new not w98 vm with same settings
and maybe in more never versions you needs at least this one
