Windows 98SE and VMWare Workstation 17.6.1: Video settings are reset after selecting the True Color (32-bit) palette.

If I set the True Color palette (32 bits) in the screen settings, after rebooting it resets to 16 bits. I use Windows 98SE. How can I fix it?
