I didn't know about that. I personally don't use Pi-hole anymore, I switched to AdGuard Home some time ago. Hopefully this time they provide a good REST API, with good documentation, as AdGuard Home already does.

I tried it for some time, but I really did not like it at all. Pi-hole has some major issues which I really dislike but the overall experience was still better for me.
