Progress with Docker version
Hi
I'm really interested in using your pipeline for TE analysis of multiple different non-model organisms.
I'd prefer to use your tool through Docker on the command line to speed up throughput on a cluster, as I'm looking to do a comparative analysis of many genomes.
I was wondering how things are progressing with getting Pirate to Docker?
Thanks.
Dear Dr Chapman,
Sorry for my delay,
We are still working on the Docker version, it is a bit time consuming because everything have to be re-installed on the Docker version and some tools have also to be updated.
This is a side project for me and my colleagues working on it, and Covid delayed it a lot...
We expect to finish it at the begining of 2021.
Best regards,
Jeremy
Thanks for the update! I look forward to using it with Docker.
Hi! I would like to know if a docker version is now available somewhere. We also would be interested in installing the pipeline on our computing infrastructure as docker or singularity container. Regards.
Dear Loraine, thank you for your message. Unfortunalty, Ifremer worked on the Docker version since last year, but according to my latest news, it is in standbye because of the dificulty of managing REPET scheduler. I am not sure if they will overcome this issue or if they still work on it. It will probably never come alive unfortunatly. Best regards
