[Feat]: revert the way screensharing works to the previous way it worked...

Describe the feature

The new window-sharing methodology has problems and lacks a feature I often use

Motivation

a: bug: at the base of the feature, there's nothing bad about it but it's broken

• when sharing windows, it fails to show all windows that could be shared. I had to close applications in order to share the one window I needed to share.

b: feature request: bring back the ability to share a drawn perimeter. This was the only way I could share a relevant portion of my screens. I have two 46" screens vertically mounted. I can't share a single screen because it's too wide and vertically mounted so people on the receiving end can't view my screen, I have to either share a window or a section of screen, which can't be done anymore.

When that feature was enabled, I could (and typically do) share two windows on both sides of my screens using a rectangle across both screens which works beautifully. I can share a terminal and a browser at the same time without having to unshare a window and reshare a new window back and forth several times while sharing. Why was this feature removed?

With the new method of sharing, I am not presented with an ability to do that anymore. Please bring it back. The version I have installed is: teams-for-linux/stable,now 2.6.17 amd64 [installed]

Hi @notjames , thanks for the feature request. Can you verify this is what used to work in https://github.com/IsmaelMartinez/teams-for-linux/releases/tag/v2.0.14 or similar?

We had to change the screensharing hack as it was creating a lot of problems for many users (and wasn't following standards). I wonder if we did remove some functionality the other hack had, or if you are just seeing some changes by microsoft on their web version. Do you experience this missing features also using the browser?
