Ugly printing result if file contains CJK characters

Open linux40 opened this issue 4 years ago • 2 comments

Any file contains CJK characters, for example: https://www.ccf.org.cn/ccf/contentcore/resource/download?ID=99202

Configuration:

  • Web browser and its version: browser based on UXP, for example, Pale Moon or Basilisk, any version
  • Operating system and its version: Linux, gtk 3.24 (which provide "Print to file" function), or CUPS 2.3.1
  • PDF.js version: 2.2.255
  • Is a browser extension: yes

Steps to reproduce the problem:

  1. Open any file contains CJK characters.
  2. Print it.
  3. Open output file.

Print web page in these browser is ok, and seamonkey is ok.

I maybe have similar issue while printing some PDF. Instead of images and text it prints only these lots of squares. But in browser I see these PDFs OK (in Preview before print it is bad too). So I must open PDF in Acrobat and print from it. Version 2.3.233 .

We're having this same problem with printing certain PDF files.
