Index error, unable to install properly

Open doctashay opened this issue 4 years ago • 0 comments

When installing the driver on Arch Linux, the video source will freeze after about a second, and other USB devices cease to function.

Running cat /proc/asound/cards, there are a total of 5 devices, stopping at index number 4. Using index number 5, the card will display video for about two seconds, and then freeze. After this point, I am unable to use my keyboard, and have to reboot the machine. I have repeated the installation process with a number of higher index numbers, the issue persists regardless.

When using dmesg to look for errors, this line is listed

gvusb2-snd 7-4:1.2: cannot find the slot for index 0 (range 0-1), error: -16

Pointing to a potential issue with the index number I've chosen. I've tried using 5-25 with the same error each time. Is there something I'm missing here?
