Reproduction Steps
I don't know how to recreate it. It seemingly happens at random. I'm sure it says somewhere in the massive crash log.

Additional context
Sorry if this is unhelpful or is not even caused by Iris. I initially thought it was Distant Horizons but they told me it was "Sodium/Iris", so, I assume it's Iris I should bother. I've also experienced this crash with multiple different shaders and servers. I haven't played singleplayer enough to know if it happens there as well. I don't know if another mod is causing it because I don't know how to trigger the crash, so I can't exactly trial-and-error it. Also, the launcher says exit code 6, which I don't think I've seen before.
Having same issues. Locking the whole computer up. Need to hard reboot computer. Ctrl alt del etc does not work. Win 10.
For me it freezes my full pc audio and the game, but I can still minimize with my keybind I have set for it and then I just have to wait a little bit and either a dialog pops up to kill to program or it just dies on it's own.
