Hey there. I saw this a few years back, and glad to see you working on it again. There's some stuff I've been using with other projects, that I thought would make this a bit more reliable; given the GB/TB of data being processed by it. With these patches, I successfully reduced 100GB from my SteamApps folder. I also flagged a few TODO items regarding things I saw that might need attention.

Thank you for coming up with this. There are actually a few different groups I know that might have interest as well.
