[Feature Request] Planning to use as a billing tool for my freelance projects - needs to support "Leistungszeitraum" for use in Germany
As an essential legal requirement for billing work as a freelancer, the invoice needs to include the exact period in which the billed hours have been performed ("Leistungszeitraum").
Am I missing a default option for that somewhere, or would that have to be worked into IP manually? If so, where and how?
@franktopel This is actually a good question, I don't know an answer to that, sorry. Two options came to my mind:
- You could add the it to the Invoice Terms ("Rechnungsbedingungen") and update it with every new invoice.
- You could add a custom text field to the Invoice-table and update the invoice-template to display it. Again you'd have to change it with every new invoice.
Let me know if one of these options works for you 🙂
You can create product units as hours in menu/products. Then in the invoice you charge the unit (x) amount so you will have exact hours per project/client

You're missing the point. In Germany, when you bill for services, you need to explicitly state within what timeframe exactly the work was performed, like
"Leistungszeitraum: 01.03.2021 - 31.03.2021"
So then you add it in the description
You can also make a custom field "Leistungszeitraum" and add the "01.03.2021 - 31.03.2021"
there
Unless you have the option to record your time somewhere and put that on the bill, you will be stuck with custom options. The product is "Hours", maybe multiple products for the type of work that you've done. The amount is (see of this works): how many hours did you work? 1,5 hours? 90 minutes?
Then do time * tariff and in the custom description add at which dates you did the work.
Attach a timesheet to the invoice to be complete?
