Need to automate QB items so all new level 3 items match their level 2 accounts and classes

I hope I posted this in the right place.

In quickbooks using a 3rd party app(UDA construction suite) new level 3 items are created. I would like to either force QB to match the following fields to the parent item(level2) or at least be able to automate a script so that All level3 items are matched to their level2 parent item.

Fields needed to match are: COG account Income Account Class(we are using class tracking by item)

So ideally when a new level 3 item is created, it will automatically set those 3 fields to match its level2 parent item.
