feature request - cancel sending email
Many webmails, such as Gmail, Icewarp, etc. let you cancel an email which you sent, within a few seconds after sent.
It would be nice to have this feature.
If you think how things work, it is possible only if you put the mail somewhere to the queue. So this is basically similar to send later option. However I dont understand why I should cancel the mail few seconds after send. Send later is nice feature which allows you send mail at a specific time.
Friend,
I see. Send later is neat too, but its really not the same. Person might not even know about that feature.
The cool thing on cancellation is exactly for that, person sends and quickly realizes it was a mistake, so they click CANCEL.
Its how it works with GMAIL, IceWarp, etc.
Tks.
Technically it is the same. Send later is at specific time selected by user and gmail feature is current time + 5 seconds. For both you need database with sending time.
Hi, thanks for your reply.
Got it, but there's the difference in terms of usability, as I explained. User does not know about send later feature. He uses the option to cancel delivery in case of a failure.
Anyway, what youre saying is we can implement both features, right? So you believe its a good idea, correct? We dont have send later yet, do we?
It would be great to have a feature to send e-mail at a specific time.
