clipboard size limited on Windows? WSL?

Noticed this in passing when preparing for the demo, that the size of the clipboard on X or on windows seems to be limited much more than on the mac. No idea where the limit was or if it's possible to increase the size.

I can consistently reproduce the issue on Linux Mint 22.1 Cinnamon under X11 and VNC. For example, copying the full code of the function CREATEW from SEdit:

yields this text:

       (* ;; "Generic CREATEW function.")

       (LET (SCREEN REG)

                  REG TITLE BORDERSIZE NOOPENFLG PROPS)))

Notice the code is not truncated after the first few lines. Instead, most of the middle portion is missing but the beginning and the end of the function are there.
