Definition of Connection Type / Device Type and NAT connection type

Hello

I have a few questions regarding the Connection Type and Device Type

  1. Some geo IP resolvers are resolving NAT connections. Due to the prevalence of NAT today, what should the Connection Type be in such cases? As an example, a router that uses NAT
  • Computer 1 is connected to the router with an Ethernet cable.

  • Computer 2 is connected to the router via WiFi.

  • A phone connected to the router via WiFi.

If NAT detector is enabled, all the devices connected to it — Ethernet (cable) or WiFi - will be resolved as NAT.

  1. Device Type != Connection Type

Some of the geo IP resolvers will resolve PHONE that connected to a router via WIFI as WIRED connection type, as it resolves based on the IP address (fixed connection).

Saying that - it's possible that the Device Type is PHONE and the Connection Type is WIRED. Is that true?

Thanks
