Incompatibility between machines and Tinkers Construct crafting station

Crash when removing items from machines using the Crafting Station from Tinker's Construct [or when attempting to drop an item in an output slot]. Bug originally reported with Latex Processing Unit, I have tested further with the Mob Crusher to check that it's not isolated to that one machine.

For what it's worth, I have a block in my dev project that does basically the same thing as the crafting station for adjacent item handlers, and it crashes in exactly the same way.
