dotDoNotDisturb and dotRinging have almost the same color. Can dotDoNotDisturb be yellowish or in any case clearly different from any other class? eg. #ffea00

dotDoNotDisturb was originally for your own status, as it indicates if you are set to DND or not, but if you have now used presence to bring that to the buddy state, then, yes these colours are too similar.

Personally I think the dotRinging and dotInUse should be the same colour, as it should clearly show the target is either about to use the phone, or is using the phone.

Well, I don't know about giving dotRinging and dotInUse the same color. They are different device states, and it is sometimes useful to know that a phone is ringing but not in use yet. It doesn't hurt to have a reddish color for InUse and an orangish one for Ringing. DoNotDisturb however is a totally different state.
