[Bug] [5.0.0 beta 2] Overlay does not fade automatically

Describe the bug

When playing a video, the overlay containing the play/pause button, time bar etc. does not fade after some time. This happens in regular mode and fullscreen mode.

It fades after a few seconds in popup mode, as intended. It fades out normally when tapping on an empty space in it.

Always (100% of the time)

Fairphone 3, Android 15

Steps to reproduce the bug

1. Open any video
2. Start playing the video
3. Tap on the running video for the overlay to appear
4. Wait for it to fade out
