Feature Description
add "Mark As Watched" back.
Can't find it for any videos on the beta 2. it's present in the latest v4 app.
I think the better way is to simply delete the video from the feed. Mark as watched exists because you can't directly delete a video from feed in old design.
Update: I just noticed that delete button doesn't work. this will be fixed in the next version.
I understand from a function POV. But I half agree and disagree. Since I have overlapping subscription on pipepipe and actual YouTube account, I use the mark as watched because I want yo keep track on pipepipe what I watched on YouTube proper.
Can you explain with more details? I don't really get the point. For me it seems no change between remove and mark as watched in your scenario.
I just tested deleting videos from the All feed. Noted the delete will get fixed. But the more important part is It doesn't put the video in the History feed or show it as watched.
Unless that's also a bug and it should have put the video in the History feed.
If that's not the intended, then either deleting the video from a feed (and local playlist tbh) puts the video in the History feed / mark it as watched and be shown in history. Or put the mark as watched back.
I also just noticed "Remove watched" is no longer an option for local playlists. Will this be added or should I make a new feature request issue?
I personally use mark as watched very frequently, though not in a way that wouldn't also be served with a "start from beginning" button.
For instance, if I had to put down a song or music video partway through and want to watch it from the beginning again, I use "mark as watched" from my history feed to quickly reset it, then play it from there.
I also use it to keep track of the watched videos from PC or Browser.
