[game/airdrops] Possible usages for the new airdrop system
Assurance:
Have you read through the rules from the README.md
file in the root folder of this GitHub repository?
Yes
Summary: So InZidiuZ added Airdrops to OPFW but is wondering how to integrate them into RP. I think these have a lot of potential and can add to the ever lasting problem of guns or larger scale items such as grenades/molitovs. To provide as much RP as possible, I think this would work in the form of either a heist or possible integrate it like Chop.
Heist
-
Im not sure whether or not to call this a "heist" but it's more so a large scale activity.
-
Essentially you would go to the top of the military tower, and go here https://i.imgur.com/TZB49lQ.jpeg
-
You would use a Chip, not /terminal, but use the chip. This would put you into a hacking process and the idea is that you're "hacking" into the military's radio system to call in this drop.
-
Once you successfully complete the hacking, you would be given a 10 minute timer until the drop arrives. This timer gives ample time for PD response and time for Crims to set up in this nice spot (which Anti could possibly do development to) https://i.imgur.com/LegugC3.jpeg
-
PD Dispatch Call "10-90! The Military Radio has been intercepted and an airdrop is imbound!" - Big Letter "A" for the GPS signal
-
Once crims are set up, RP ensures (which depends on PD's new SOPs for this) whether it's a shootout, hostage to chase, hostage until they loot the drop so crims can use the fancy items, etc
-
Afterwards, however Ben/Laura intended the drop to be opened, it opens. Crims leave and take their stuff, and the RP is over.
-
Each Airdrop has about 3-5 different items in it, ranging from different numbers. Example loot: 1x Carbine Rifle Mk 2, 2x Grenade, 1x Molitov, 2x BodyArmor
Group Activity
-
Unsure what to even name this but it would function sort of like Chop Shop
-
Perhaps at the Military Base, or as a drop from another job, you receive a radio that makes you aware of the next Airdrops location. It'll work on a timer
-
"The Airdrop will drop at the Los Santos Oil Fields in 5 minutes!" "...... 3 Minutes!" "....The Airdrop has Dropped!"
-
Crims would fight/take the next airdrop and receive similar loot. There is a 10-20% chance of a 10-66 call popping up at the location of this drop
-
Takes 30-45 minutes to reset and requires 5 cops on duty
-
Drops in random spots that are not in the city. Such as the oil fields, military base, Paleto, etc
-
Each Airdrop has about 3-5 different items in it, ranging from different numbers. Example loot: 1x Carbine Rifle Mk 2, 2x Grenade, 1x Molitov, 2x BodyArmor
Reason: Why would your suggestion be a good change to the framework?
- Would be a good way to integrate Molitovs, Grenades, Stickys, etc
- Make larger scale weapons still possible to get, while the Gun Computers focus on mass amounts of guns versus one of these two focus on newer things
- More RP possibility for everyone, including Cops, Crims, FIB, etc.
Not only that it adds a brand new crim activity that seems interesting and fun to do, but also solves a couple demands that people had such as introduction of Molitovs, Nades and so on, and even more ways to obtain GOOD guns which will help with more people getting access to said guns and not being totally reliable on the gun computer.
